Insh Hall

2.0 star property
6.8 out of 10, (23)
"Nice and clean place with a lake nearby. Staff was very accommodating even before we checked-in. We stayed in a room good for 3 people and it was cramped. The beds squeeked a lot too. For the price, we expected something better... but then we were just there for a couple nights, so it was ok. Perhaps the cabins would have been nicer for longer stays. "

"Our room was clean and comfortable with friendly, helpful hosts who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Introduced us to their friendly dog and they were able to offer advice on where to eat dinner. Plenty information in the folder in the room of local attractions if anyone wanted. We would stay again. Macdonald Spey Valley Resort

3.5 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (178)
"Loved the villa, 3 negatives, the villa could do with some vacuuming, dog hair everywhere, there’s not enough cooking pot and pans( a small frying pan and small pot) and check in at 5pm(too late!)."

Sweeney Rooms Aviemore

3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (34)
"Only stayed for three nights, but thought it was a lovely place. The room decor is very modern/contemporary, which is what I like. Bed and bedding was comfortable, but was only a small double bed, presumably because the room was quite small. We will stay again , but will book a bigger room next time."

Macdonald Lochanhully Woodland Club

3.5 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (123)
"Negatives: There was an overwhelming damp/off smell when we first entered the apartment which I later discovered came from the vacuum cleaner when I used it. The bathroom light and hot water tap didn't work and the duvet for the sofa bed had a yellow stain on it. The "free kids club" is a run down cabin in which you pay £1 per game of pool (don't expect chalk). There are no plug sockets beside the bedroom mirror/dressing table. The bar area was always empty. Positives: The area is fantastic....
