"The whole of the personnel at THE RISING SUN worked as a team to make our stay [my wife and I] a memorable one from our welcome with a beaming smile on Wedensday just after 2 to our departure today [Friday] just before 10. On our first evening there were two problems with our room - a faulty light and curtains that let the light in BUT BOTH were immediately fixed to everyone's satisfaction - fabulous! Breakfasts were served on time and the chef was very understanding about our requirements. The lady cleaner was very thorough in what she did - why do say that? Because as a former science teacher observation is very important and I still can't stop observing what's going on around me!! Sorry if that sounds as if i'm a nosey-parker!! I had to attend a meeting of the Monmouthshrie Railway Society where I had a word with its President about the committee discussing and recommending the possibility of any guest speakers that requried overnight accommodation staying at The Rising Sun, Rogerstone, Newport as a result of our more than satisfactory two night stay. A very pleasant setting and although there was much traffic on the road outside especially during the morning rush-hour - there was NO NOISE from it - super! I've attached a few quick photos of the TWIN-BEDDED room [Room 2] which had plenty of draws and cupboards for us! Please copy this review to ALL at THE RISING INN - they ALL deserve praise!
