"This place it's more than a B&B. It has everything you would expect from a high end hotel but in a cosy property. Alan is a fantastic host and will make you feel like home straight away. The room was impeccable with everything needed and more. And the area is so quiet and peaceful. I'll be coming back and recommend this place to anyone."

"The hotel is a stately home. More like a Manor that is just outside Penpont; Thornhill is just a 5 min drive. Itā€™s located in a gorgeous area surrounded by lovely old oak trees and the Scaur River. Excellent for a good walk. "

"Caravan was comfortable and was OK for the couple of nights we stayed However some half used items of food had been left in the fridge and the furnishings were a little worn. Caravan and bed were creaky although this was mainly down to the high winds the weekend we were there."

"This property was 15 mins drive for the Bombproof Boxer Summer Camp which we attended for 4 days for 2 x 2hrs training sessions with the dogs and also evening lectures. Location was just right for to and from Bowmuir Farm. Nice to have the use of a fenced paddock/orchard for the dogs to have a run around."
