"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. "There are about 25 apartments in Colina Verde B - ours was closest to the pool and there was almost nobody else there - the pool was essentially our private pool. Nice clean place, beautiful setting, 7 minutes to the waterfront by car. Ascona is a lovely little place with a lively waterfront scene. All in all, ne of the best spots we have ever rented. "

"We were two couples and loved that it has two bathrooms, comfortable beds, air conditioning, washer and dryer, and beautiful views of Lake Maggiore. Grocery stores are close as well as the Grand Piazza. We were lucky to be there for the outdoor music festival called Moon and Stars. Great food, and people. Not alot of English speaking people, but our phone translator worked great. We fell in love with Locarno and this condo."
