"If you want a real getaway weekend this is the place for you. You need to be prepared to travel on some backroads but once you get to Alpine Lake it is beautiful. The internet was out almost our entire weekend and I did report to the management three times without hearing back from them. The beds were very comfortable kitchen was stocked just okay in my opinion. We appreciated the cleanliness. The steps leading into the cabin are steep and it was pouring down rain when we got there so they are very slippery so that could be hazardous. The smoke alarm in the basement was removed and laying on a table. I did contact them right away about that and they were to come over the next day with batteries but that never happened. The cabin is stocked with lots of games and our children enjoyed those. The DVD player in the main family room did not work. We had a nice weekend but overall it could have been better. "

"Beautiful location! Sorta close to grocery & gas. Resort may have food store. Didn’t check. Looks fantastic inside. Paneling design great. Plenty of room for family or separate space. Great front porch. Great covered deck with table in back. "

"The house has a very homey feel to it. It feels like you're staying at your grandparents' house. We loved the hot tub and made good use of it. The heat worked real well. A couple notes/ suggestions. Ad needs to be changed about what is provided. Ad says no toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher pods or trash bags. But all those items were actually proved in the welcome basket, so I needlessly packed them. I was pleasantly surprised that although not provided, other tenants left other items like hand soap in the bathroom and dish soap. As a rule, I think hand soap, and shower soap and shampoo should be provided like a hotel would.Also, the location of the ceiling fan in the middle bedroom is unsafe while climbing into the bunk bed.Also, the wood stoves being advertised is a little deceiving because there was no wood or fire provided to light them.Otherwise, everything else was good."
