"The Dixie was a very comfortable place to stay. Comfy bed nice bathroom and very clean. The hostess was incredibly helpful and as I was leaving early the next morning and would miss breakfast she packed me a lunch to go. I will definitely be staying there again. "

"Stayed for one night in the Kedleston suite. Greeted on arrival by very professional, friendly staff who made us feel welcome. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with good facilities and good quality fixtures and fittings. Bed was very comfortable, slept really well, although the room was on the front of the property we weren’t disturbed with any road noise. Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday and the restaurant is closed but would have loved to have tried an evening meal there. However we...

"Our stay was excellent and would certainly look to stay again. The facilities were very clean and their presentation really good. The breakfast was well presented and the host very pleasant.There is only one point where in pour opinion and improvement could be made and that is to filter drinking water as it tasted highly chlorinated. "Susan our host was warm and welcoming, the property was beautiful and our room was really nice. The breakfast was gorgeous! We come to Ibstock to visit our friends for their Christmas party every year and this was the first time we'd chosen to find somewhere else to stay. Needless to say, we'll be making a stay at The Post House part of our annual tradition and we're looking forward to staying again next year!"

"The shower head was covered in limescale and the silicone sealant mouldy, and the toilet rocked a little when you sit on it, the bedroom was spotless though, the staff lovely and the food was good! "

"I cannot recommend Marehay hall Farm and host Sharon highly enough. All of the the positive descriptions reviewing a B&B apply here. Whatever your expectations are they will surely be met and exceeded. If you are looking for a quiet oasis to relax and retreat from the hustle of daily life, this is it. The gardens are work in progress and offer the potential to make this a much saught after retreat location. Would we come back. Without a doubt! "

Nice hotel and excellent service

"We were staying 2 nights as a family with a large dog, and the hotel staff went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. They provided a dog bed, treats, and a table in the bar where we could eat breakfast together. Pete the barman was excellent, and made sure we had everything we needed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very central with lots of good bars and restaurants a short walk away."
