"Fantastic customer service. We had an issue with the lighting which was to no fault of the hotel. They couldnt have been more helpful and offered a free meal and drinks to compensate. We felt welcome and enjoyed the location to the arena and city centre. Would 100% recommend. Thank you, we hope to spend time there again in the future"

"My meal on Sunday evening was the best I’ve ever had, and the service by Rula wonderful and friendly.. room was delightful and breakfast delicious hot and perfectly served. Excellent choice the only problem was when paying generally with Hotels.com I pay before I leave home and can use my Keycash points but as Mellor took funds on leaving the deputy manager didn’t know how to use my credit which would have covered my meal. "Checked in to the premises for an overnight stay. We were met by a tall young woman who was very welcoming and friendly and I was invited to complete details into a machine, then asked to pay the cost of the accommodation there and then. I explained that I had already done so with Hotels.com.Our room was situated over the bar area. The room was an adequate clean twin bedded space. "We absolutely loved every single minute of our stay! Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, the view was amazing. The bed was one of the best we have slept in. "This is a pub. The rooms are accessed via steep stairs. It is a shared bathroom which is only adequate. The locals in the bar are intimidating unless you like the football crowd type of person. The bar was busy every night with proper drinkers. The smell of cannabis in the outside areas was prevalent. If you like the Tv series ‘shameless’ you would be right at home here. Saying that I would return if I was ever in the area but it’s not for everyone "
