"Overnight stay en route home. Room was well presented, clean and tidy. Three spoilers, 1 stairs and landings looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned for weeks. 2 Fire alarm (false alarm) went off at 00.20 and other guest said this was a regular occurrence. 3 No hot water in bathroom no matter how long I let the tap run. Food and service were excellent."

"I have stay here about 3-4 times a year. Cottages are lovely, bed was uncomfortable and the sofa was well worn. Overall it was very clean but can do with a little up grade on furniture "

"The Woodside is easy to find and very well presented. The staff were very friendly and the check in process was very straight forward. The whole hotel gave us a sense it is loved and looked after. It was very clean throughout. Our room was lovely. Just what we needed. High quality, clean, fresh but not over the top. The room was very well equipped and even had a little snack box. "This is such a lovely hotel and we’ll definitely use it again. From when we first stepped in until we left this morning, we were made to feel welcome. The food is a real treat (haggis bonbons and the fleet iron steak were to die for). The room was a touch of luxury, well stocked with tea and coffee, fresh milk in the fridge and a breakfast in the room. It was all spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. We’ve come away feeling like we’ve been spoilt! "

"When we checked in the girl gave us no information about the hotel not sure if she was new or not maybe busy as there was a wedding fair on so I thought the information would be in the room but there was nothing at all only (menus for breakfast , lunch ) we had a problem with the tv hubby went to reception and it was dealt with very quickly food was lovely and especially the waitress so friendly sorry forgot her name parking was great always found a space nice and quiet and a great central place for exploring things round about would definitely return "
