"Blinkbonnie cottage has been the perfect little base of operations for our day trips into various parts of Scotland. The location is peaceful and out of the way but central enough to get to pretty much anywhere in the highlands in an hour or two by car. On top of that, our hosts were beyond helpful with answering questions and requests even before we arrived at this great little gem of a place."

"I booked a hot tub weekend away for my husband and I to the Steadings and what a beautifully clean and comfortable cottage it was. The owners met us as we drove to the cottage to show us around. They had also left us a welcome pack which included a bottle of Prosecco, that was a lovely extra. We made full use of the log burner as it wasn’t the best of weather when we were there. "When we arrived the check in process was very easy. The cottage itself was very clean and warm. Bed was comfortable and two bathrooms which is great of you stay with a whole family. If you want to use the hot tub make sure to tell the owners immediately once you book. I told them a week before arriving and had had to ask twice to be able to use it. We could see in the guest book other people had been greeted with welcome basket. We didn’t. Would also been great if there were a welcome letter...

"What a lovely cottage! It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Beautiful, quiet setting near Stirling. We explored the jail and the castle. Took the train to Edinburgh (not a lot of parking at the station). Drove to the ferry to Isle of Arran (take your car if you can). This cottage is in a great location for touring the Edinburgh/Glasgow area."

"Cottage has everything you need for a family to stay! Plenty of room, kitchen equipped to cook, highland cows outside front door! We were greeted by much appreciated milk, tea, bread etc! Great after a long drive up! We ebiked and walked in Dunkeld, climbed Lochnagar, explored Braemar, sledged at Glen Shee, explored Glen Clova - and always returned to a cosy, welcoming cottage! "

"We had a very relaxing few days here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the check in process was completed quickly. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage, the accommodation was very spacious but still had a nice cozy feel to it. The on site restaurant served excellent food with a lovely atmosphere, just remember to book early as it was fully booked each night we were there. We will definitely be back."
