"Beautiful family chateau, plenty of space. Large rooms downstairs for entertaining, relaxing and playing pool. Two kitchens, with all the facilities you would expect including a plethora of utensils.. All Main bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and all with baths. Pool is a short walk from the rear of the chateau and the grounds are fabulous with a stream and a boat. "We were given a warm friendly welcome from owner Nicolas who showed us around his lovely homely farmhouse. The house looked stunning in the warm Charentes sunshine and is set in magnificent gardens filled with flowers and a fascinating variety of trees including cherry, apple, fig, olive, chestnut etc, etc. The top of the garden has space for games and would be great for kids. "Exceptional property in beautiful rural location. 18 of our family stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed this delightful holiday accommodation. Superb pool, great covered/outside eating area, boules, table tennis etc. Air conditioning in one apartment building, thick walls and therefore relatively cool in the other apartment building. Really super stay. Note for English renters: Towels and toilet paper not provided as we believe is the custom in France."
