"Though the house was described accurately as typical Caribbean style, we were not expecting the total openness with only screens in windows. However, we are so glad we stayed there and would do it again. So much wildlife to observe from the upper open “treehouse” deck. No issues with bugs in the home, great laundry and pool area. Great hiking right out the door. Host was an excellent communicator and property was well equipped and maintained. We will remember this stay for a lifetime. It is 100%...

"The set up of the facility is cool, the rooms are detached bungalows with an outdoor kitchenette. The grounds are beautiful. The 2 pools are very small. The staff was nice, but did not speak any English, just Spanish (FYI). We did not eat at the restaurant, instead choosing to go to Puerto Viejo, just because we liked the town. "The place is ok, a little over rated in my opinion. One has to get out of the car to open gate to get into a small parking space. They woke me up early on Sunday morning to move my car, cause I was the last one in the parking space last night and someone wanted to leave, so I had to get up to move my car. They were very rude about it. So parking is an issue, as it was raining hard and had to get out to open and close gate also."

"I stayed at the lodge for a couple of nights. There wasn't Internet connection (-1 point). WiFi was a part of the deal and I wouldn't move there if I knew it wasn't available. The staff was sort of nice but useless (unavailable; -1 point). The room and surrounding were not neat or just sort of messy (-1 point). The Manager didn't accept a credit card payment so I had to pay in cash (-1 point). I don't carry a lot of cash and rely heavily on my credit cards. I guess, I left with one point...
