The devastation from the hurricane is heartbreaking! The noise from the street is listed and they provide noise makers. But we didn’t sleep well. The ceiling fan in our room didn’t work. "We were in town for a concert at the Orange Peel and wanted to say downtown. This was a beautiful place to stay, the pictures do not do it justice! The record player and gas fireplace made our stay wonderful."

The bear decor was so nice and kitschy, and we saw 2 bear cubs with their momma at the bottom of Deer Ridge when we first turned in upon arrival, so the scene was set! "Overall it was a nice, small place. I would HIGHLY recommend you bring your own king size sheets - unless you like polyester sheets. And bring your pillow, they were absolutely horrible - like somone stuffed old socks and sweaters into a pillowcase. Also, the windows need repair, they are very heavy and do not stay open on their own. You can prop them open, but watch out for your fingers! "My husband and i came out for our one year anniversary. It was the perfect size for what we needed. We were able to cook when we wanted to. The view, itself was worth it. Best way to wake up and end the evening. One night we even got to see a bear. My husband loved being able to use the sauan and hot tub after the long days of walking we had. "
