"Was a pleasant stay adjacent to the Lincoln National Forest. In fact a hiking trail was less than a minute walk out the back door. Though not secluded the neighborhood was quiet and respectful, and had daily visits by the local Mule Deer. There is a small fenced-in area in the back for dogs but you may have to leash your pet if they are prone to jumping over fences to chase deer. Also, if conditions are dry then you should have no problem driving your 2WD vehicle up through the neighborhood to the cabin. If you are into hiking then there are literally dozens of hikes within 5-15 minutes drive. If visiting White Sands then you’re looking at a half-day excursion to really get into the park and walk the dunes, which is well worth it. Last tip: meal plan and hit up a legit grocery store before reaching Cloudcroft, and maybe bring your own preferred cookware if you are picky. "

"Our favorite part was the central location to all we did in the area. Keeping in mind that this is NM, and there is a little distance to fun, it added mountain beauty to our fun getaway weekend! It was a lovely spot, slightlyout of Cloudcroft. So pretty and great plenty of amenities!"

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Overall rating was a 4 because the beds on the main floor were not comfortable, per the mother in laws that slept in them. I also think it would be good to put command hooks in the bathrooms for towels. The downstairs bed was amazing!!! The home is beautiful with lovely scenery. Loved the stay!! "

"The cabin is small and cozy. Made for a perfect weekend getaway. Literally at a great trail for hiking or running. Location to town is great as well. Cannot tell you enough how much we loved this! Host was great, and very accommodating."

"My husband and I wanted a quick winter getaway in the mountains (with our two dogs) - Cloudcroft was perfect for this and so was the little cabin, Grizzly’s Getaway. Grizzly’s Getaway has rustic cabin charm and all the amenities one might need for a comfortable stay.The owners, Paola and Damian, are EXCEPTIONAL HOSTS. We will definitely be contacting them in the future for another stay in Beautiful Cloudcroft! "
