"The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and has a beautiful, warm interior. We received a lovely warm welcome from reception. Our room was immaculate and has everything we needed, including a lovely balcony looking out into the well maintained gardens. The spa is small but very nice and has stunning views from the hydro pool. The spa does need a little TLC in terms of the rusty vents above the pool, and the steam room wasn't working. Overall a really nice spa, and free for guests to use, which isn't always the case at some hotels. Our only gripe was the quality of some of the food we were served for our evening meal, and the time it took. We were also charged £10 to park our car in the hotel grounds."

"Stayed for 2 nights with a dog. Hotel in the process of refurbishment. Our room was lovely, great view of the large beer garden with a short walk to the lake. Very friendly staff and good food. 20 min walk into Keswick which is very dog friendly too. Will be back. "
