"This place was AMAZING!!! It was just so beautiful. Everywhere you look, it was just gorgeous. The architecture, the landscape design, the interior design. Wow!!! The staff, the food, the amenities... all amazing. The breakfast was included and boy was it good. Such a great selection of Mexican and American food, fresh squeezed juices and fruit. It was from 7am to 12 pm, so there was no rush to get up early. We loved eating outside, but there was also an indoor dining area. The taxi acuatico from the hotel dock to Barra de Navidad ran 24/7, and was convenient and inexpensive. For a round trip ticket it cost 50 pesos (about 2.50 USD /person). Juan, the concierge and bell man, was outstanding. He caught an error in our room assignment and managed to have the error corrected. He had great ideas of things to do, like the secret beach and a tour to a ship wreck site, and also made a lot of the videos and of the property. He seemed to truly take pride in his job. All the staff were amazing, but Javier, who was a waiter at breakfast, was a true pleasure. We only spoke a little Spanish, and he was patient with us and spoke slowly so we could understand. We enjoyed talking with him and learning new terms. He was very professional, friendly, always with a smile on his face. It was a pleasure to see him every day. Everyone was very attentive, but there was no sense of pressure. It was like stepping back in time, where customer service really meant something. "

"Las Hamacas was perfect for our first trip to Melaque! The location is hard to beat and the view from our room was breath-taking. We found our room to be clean, well-stocked, with a very well-stocked kitchen. I will say, as others have also noted, there is live music at the restaurant from 2 - 4pm Mon - Wed, at least the week we were there. The place is hopping and the band is great. But do know the sound is all-encompassing if you have a beach-facing room. The Las Hamacas staff were super-friendly, quick to respond and helpful in suggesting alternative ways to the airport, thank you staff! "
