"We are so glad that we got to stay at Shenstone. This is our first time to Barbados, so we weren’t sure of the areas, but it turns out this is in the perfect spot. So close to the Rockley Beach, lots of shops and restaurants, plentiful buses to take you anywhere you want to go.We got to know the guests in the other half of the duplex and they and their families have been renting this place for many years. That tells you a lot about the place.If I were to visit Barbados again, I would stay...

"The location to Freights for surfing was perfect! The condo was spacious and very clean. We enjoyed many of the restaurants around Oistins. Surfer”s Bay and Surfer’s Cafe were our favorite places to eat with beautiful views. We have two teenagers that surfed every day and there was a board rental company around the corner. The area is beautiful!"

"Comfortable and across the street from the beach. At the end of the Gap. We had no problems so we didn’t have to contact the property manager while there. Just as described! We were there so little we didn’t even use the kitchen or turn on the tv, but was nice to know both were there. "

"I LOVE THIS PLACE. It's a perfect walk to Dover Beach and St. Lawrence Gap.On bus lines, a quaint neighborhood and area. Traveling as a singe woman I felt very safe and secure here, and this is my "go-to" place when I come to the island."

"This was our 2nd stay at Somnia. It's a lovely haven 10 minutes up from the beach in the fantastic neighbourhood of Navy Gardens. The property management is excellent, the place is clean and as advertised. The 2nd floor outdoor terrace is a game-changer. The only thing to be aware of is that it's a bit of an uphill trek (10-15 minutes) from the beach and shops if you don't have a car. Anette is the housekeeper who comes in weekly and she is lovely. "

"We enjoyed staying here, and our apartment had everything we needed. The owner was absolutely fantastic to deal with. Juliet ( a tenant upstairs ) was very helpful and kind to us. Most of our days were spent touring, going to the beach, and enjoying a few neighborhood restaurants. We sat on our porch enjoying our morning coffee, and in the evening - listening to tree frogs."

"The apartment was perfect for our stay and included everything we needed to make our stay in beautiful Barbados a success!! The host, Kareen, was very responsible and great to sharing tips on getting around the island and where to pick up groceries, etc. The house is very close to the public bus system, which will get you where you want to go fast for only 3.50 BBD. We were also very close to Oistin and its famous Fish Fry. We ate tons of fresh seafood cooked to perfection and enjoyed many...

"Our stay was extremely enjoyable in this beautiful space, much thought was given to layout and amenities. The unit was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. We loved the location, although we rented a car, reliable, public transportation was two minutes away. A nice touch was the host being there to greet and do a walk through of the property and also he was always a phone call or text away if needed. We would certainly consider it as our go to place on our next visit to Barbados."

The interior definitely shows it’s age:the stovetop did not work (we were offered a portable two-burner replacement)the oven is unusable because all the indications for temperature, etc. have been rubbed off over time.
