"the only 3 star is for the lack of A/C. It's Europe so we knew there was no guarantee of A/C so we rolled with it. I believe they are working on installing A/C. We had a small fan in the room which helped the first night. It was quiet pleasant with the patio doors open the 2nd night! Loved the patio. Great space. Very charming property in a fantastic location. Staff was wonderful. "

"I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were friendly & so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I had to ask for a different duvet due to it being feather, which wasn’t a bother at all. They gave me a different duvet & pillow. We accidentally left our key card in the room & had to get another one, again this wasn’t too much trouble & weren’t judged for it. It was a lovely chilled vibe. The room was lovely with everything you needed. Diner was opposite the hotel, which again all the staff were friendly and the food was really good! "

"Great stay in Oxford. The location is a short walk from the city centre and an even shorter walk to the historic Oxford Castle. The staff were very pleasant and helpful any time I had questions. The only downside is occasionally I did get a distant whiff of sewage if the bathroom door was left open. (I blame that on the age of the building.)"

"The Holiday Inn Pear Tree is convenient to Oxford, a short inexpensive bus ride away. Staff are friendly, and the rooms are large and clean. The restaurant is good for all meals, with a hot buffet breakfadt ad an option."
