"Very enjoyable stay"

"Great proper English pub dog friendly. All the staff are helpful and friendly the room we were in ticked all the boxes . We stayed for 2 nights clean towels on second day . Traditional pub with good rooms . Went into Chichester which was about 20min drive great day out beautiful Cathedral. We will going back to the fox goes free ."

"Lovely Saturday night away up at Leith Hill. We arrived for a late lunch. We’d booked a double room for the night but when the staff saw our two Labradors - they gave us a much bigger room. Everyone was really friendly at the pub and the Plough is perfect for exploring the beautiful countryside around Coldharbour. The food was excellent and the service superb. Breakfast was really good. It feels really ‘different’ up there - lovely walks and stunning views. We’ll be back."

"Room was spacious and clean with walk in shower and comfortable. Light outside on the walkway was a little intrusive as we are used to a dark room. We ate in the restaurant and food was excellent and served hot which was a bonus,only downside was slow service. Breakfast was good and excellent choice available. Service at breakfast was very good. "It was our third visit to the Jolly Drover and we have always returned because the beds and bedding are so comfy and the accommodation is simple but well maintained. We have stayed in different rooms and this time were in room 6. Everything was fine until we got into bed. The mattress was so awful that you could feel the slats on the bed. I nearly fell out on one occasion. It was a horrible night and very sad because we were exhausted after a long drive from Wales and settling a family member...
