"This is not your standard chain hotel. Although the overall architecture is 1970s motel style, the color choices, furnishings, and materials used in upgrading have produced a very sophisticated, upscale ambience. Life House Berkshire is promoted as a writer’s retreat. The lobby/bar appears to be from a tropical boutique hotel. Everything extra (meals, snacks) costs extra - no free breakfast here. "Hotel was was very comfortable and clean! Nice breakfast. My only criticism would be to ask the management to re-think the parking charge. The two large, on-site parking lots were only about one-third full when I stayed, so having to pay $7 per night for parking seemed like a money grab."

"This vacation waa a last minute change of plans. 13 year old Daughters birthday. She researched and picked the hotel, and she ended up changing our whole trip, We were supposed to go north, ended up going south. Noone will believe there was a Santa convention that weekend, & she was invited into the group and into the workshop class. Who better to trust your child to but a room full of REAL SANTAS and MRS.
