"Lovely hotel, absolutely brilliant location. We received a lovely welcome and told about the room. The room itself was fabulous, well decorated and a pleasant place to spend time. The TV was huge, and the bed was extremely comfortable. well stocked mini bar, an Illy Nespresso style machine and great views made the stay even better. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend Velvet to anyone looking for a great hotel within walking distance of the bets bits of the city. "

"The gem of this hotel is the staff. Service was exceptional in all areas. We had a few issues with the room. The safe did not work and water was cold but these were immediately rectified. Staff in all departments were so friendly and professional. The only thing that would stop me going back to this hotel is the noise from the adjoining rooms. The walls are paper thin and we could hear next doors conversation and music. Fortunately we were lucky that this only happened for a few hours on the...

"Hotel is in a good location, easy to walk to main amenities.. The staff are very smart and attentive, particular thanks to Gary who is wonderful we got a lovely welcome from the him when we arrived. Also Kyan looked after us on reception. Breakfast was lovely with a good choice. Room was comfy and good facilities. We used the Spa which is really nice with a good sized pool. Would definitely recommend."

"The hotel was lovely and the staff friendly! We had a room on the 3rd floor at the front of the hotel. The room had another room up a small set of stairs above and you could really hear the other guests moving about above. The bed was super comfy with good amenities in the room inc tea, coffee, snacks ,water, iron, hair dryer, dressing gowns, umbrella etc. The bath was not a full size but the bathroom was clean and looked great."

"Friendly staff & ideal location. The room was ridiculously hot, but I managed to turn down the valve on the radiator to help the room cool down. Also the brew facility options weren’t great with PG tips & Nescafé."
