"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and our youngest liked the swing in the tree! We had lots of BBQs. Only small niggle was that we were unable to find the toaster? Also not enough mugs, we bought some cheap ones and left them behind! All in all a great holuday and would consider a return visit. "

"Thank you for a lovely stay in the house. The kids enjoyed the sports facilities and the development is peaceful and secure. Spacious garden and house, even for 5 of us and the house could have still been comfortable with more people. Great location, close to shops etc., but still a quiet location surrounded by sunflowers. "We had a wonderful holiday, the perfect blend between out-and-about every day to local markets and towns, lunches, wine and chilled beers in shady squares. Kayaking expedition back to Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. The farmhouse is a wonderful base from which to explore from. Then, after a day out, returning to enjoy the pool (which is magnificent). The pizza oven was awesome and we had great success in making our own pizzas from scratch. So successful in fact that I now need to buy one for home. The farmhouse, with all its facilities, is perfect for all ages from teens (table tennis and pool table - a great hit) to board games for little ones. There are plenty of outside spaces to enjoy whatever time of day, whether it's poolside or at the front to see the rolling views and sunsets. The contact (Jackie) during our stay was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble when we needed assistance for different things. The welcome to the property was made delightful by a variety of food and a bottle of wine, so we did indeed feel most welcomed. We would definitely book again if returning to the area."
