"The property was clean and staff friendly but it is located across the highway which you had to cross to get to the beach/downtown which could be tricky at times as it tends to quite busy. My biggest “complaint” is that we were only issued 2 towels, no hand towels for the bathroom and no tea towel or dishcloth for the kitchen which renders it somewhat useless if you cannot even wipe up a spill on the counter. Also, there were no blankets and I know that it is Mexico but a light blanket would have been nice, the staff did give us an extra set of sheets to use though. We stayed 2 nights and so going out to buy a tea towel etc does not really make sense. There is a store and a couple of restaurants in the same complex so that is convenient. "

"Rosie takes great care of you. Room really nice with comfy King Bed. She provided extra touches like French press for coffee, extra pillow for me, for scat up to use the little kitchen in the parking area, and let us book an extra night. Convenient location too. "

"We had dreamed about taking our family (Children, Grandchildren and great grandma - 4 generations) on a vacation for many years, but it always seemed out of reach and the logistics of how and where seemed a bit daunting.Then we found Las Palapas. I had high expectations going there, but had no idea that it would be so magical.The team that looked after us was amazing. Every detail was attended to, and they were so very kind and thoughtful. Meals were spectacular and beautifully served. Dietary restrictions (severe nut allergy) was professionally managed and never even a slight concern. The food was 5 star and some of the best meals I have had while traveling in Mexico. The beach was so fun for the young families to explore and the pool was warm and comfortable, even for the baby. The accommodations are well thought out and there is space for everyone to be together when you want to, or quiet time when you just want to rest.We can't wait to go back in the future!Thanks again, Las Palapas team. You really are what makes the whole adventure unforgettable. "

"We stayed in villa 9 which is a nice sized studio. It has a very nice, well equipped kitchen and a very good sized bathroom and shower. Very nicely decorated. No elevator so be prepared to climb stairs but who doesn’t need a little exercise every day. It had great views of the ocean from the room and blackout curtains for that early morning sun and the rooftop is very nice with gorgeous views as well. There’s a pool on the ground level which my husband enjoyed and it’s just a short few blocks away to get to the beach. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even have a taxi that will pick you up and take you back to whatever town you need. Just ask the hosts to set that up for you. The place is located up a ways on the main road that comes into town. We had a lovely time in chacala but be prepared to climb cobble stone hills. 😃"
