This rental is not “charming”, it’s very very old & not well-cared of; the stairs to the property in the back (which is the way you are instructed to enter) are treacherous. There isn’t lighting outside to maneuver the stairs and I’m sure they aren’t up to code. You’re met with a hanging chain that hits you in the head upon opening the back entry way door. Found our lock box with no problems, all codes and keys worked perfect. The location is amazing, right above Hello Marjories for an easy craft cocktail! Fresko, Centro, and Django all an easy walk. "This location was so close to some great areas downtown in DSM, couple blocks from the sculpture park and a couple minutes from the Hoyt Sherman Place where we enjoyed a show! The building was so nice and quiet, with a beautiful patio out back to relax or swim as well! "Incredibly spartan unit. No where to put bags, no where to hang any clothes. Kind of a joke…small ironing board with no where to set it up but the bed. That’s all small potatoes compared to the SMOKE SMELL. It is permanent short of a hard core professional remediation. We paid for two nights got in very late on Saturday, left first thing on Sunday. Don’t do it. I can’t understand how they have positive ratings. "
