"This place was great! Comfy beds with lots of pillows. Extra fans which came in handy with the hot weather. Plenty of towels and supplies! Suggestions would be more refrigerator space, better lighting in the dark, open basement, and parking info since only 2 cars fit in driveway."

"Our stay was a very relaxing experience. The owners were very quick to respond to any of our questions and concerns. We did misread the listing and thought the house faced the lake in some way, but it's actually across the street (a very small street mind you) so it was a very quick walk to the actual lake. This is a lived in home so there are personal items like family photos around the place. The place was very clean and tidy, however it is an older home so it has its quirks. It felt like we...

"We stayed here because I was working in Cedar Falls and in Ames and this was a good halfway point. It is so peaceful by the river and the host was very accommodating. My husband lives with a physical disability and doesn't handle stairs well; this place has no stairs and was very accessible and worked well for him. Our dog loved it too, plenty of green space. A lovely spot in a small town, one of our favorite stops. Thank You!"

"We attended an event at Big Springs shooting complex, only mint down the road. "

"Stayed here during a clinic at the resort down the road. Very quiet, perfect spot, will go back but this time to fish!"

"All and all the stay was almost perfect. Our daughter rented a cabin across the way that was dog friendly. A few small inconveniences need to be address by the property owner, lightbulb on the microwave to the stove is out, downstairs toilet runs frequently, reclining chair is broken and does not lock up after foot rest is extended. However all of these were small and did not interrupt our vacation weekend. Lovely cabin. "
