It's also within walking distance of local shops and restaurants, making it super convenient. The onsite restaurant was a highlight — we ate there every day! "We really enjoyed our stay at Puerta Azul. The cottages are nestled into to tropical foliage which felt nicely secluded. The cottages are quaint and very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were connected with a driver who took us to various places on the island. When we were not out and about we relaxed on the beach or floated off the dock. Highly recommend staying here."

The communication was seamless, with updates on our ride's arrival time - and they even arrived earlier than expected! My husband and I love country music and even though everything is full on Spanish, the bartender made us feel at home. One of the best margaritas I have ever tasted and I have tasted a few.
