"positives are great receptionist, quick check in and lovely clean rooms, however not the easiest place to find, even with Sat Nav as it's off a relatively new stretch of road and although Google sat nav works, car based ones don't, so use your phone! back to the positives as the hotel can't help new roads! lovely staff, really clean rooms"

"We stayed for one night, we could not fault a thing, the staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, beautiful and clean throughout, we had an evening meal which was absolutely amazing, such reasonable a reasonable price, and the portions were huge! We stayed in the Bolton room which was very clean and comfortable, there was plenty of tea and coffee,and some lovely toiletries to ise too, luxury towels and bedding too. "Lovely spacious room. Comfy bed. No one on reception when we got there on Friday Dec 27th but after ringing a phone number and leaving a message we were greeted by the owners son. We were asked if we wanted a meal that night or breakfast in the morning which we didnt need. It would have been nice to visit the bar on Friday pm but we found it closed at 9:45pm when we tried to visit it. Maybe it would be open later a different day or in the summer. A pleasant stay if you want to stay in your room."

Warm and cosy on an extremely cold night - breakfast excellent and we asked to be served quickly as we had to leave to get to an appointment - which was dealt with efficiently and with a smile"
