"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. "Ideal for a night out in Newcastle, approx £4 for a taxi into town rooms were fine only downside was there wasn’t a way to turn the heating off so had to sleep with the windows open which meant it was quite noisy but the man on reception was lovely and room had everything you need for a nights stay"

"The apartment was a bit tired looking but otherwise fine for one night. Much cheaper than other apartments around. Location couldn't be better - right next to Digital nightclub. As for the deposit, previous reviews did irk me but I did get it refunded by 10 working days. Make sure to send them your bank details on arrival. Also their 26+ age policy really ought to be made clear on the listing. "

"I booked in January for a summer weekend, arrived in July to find hotel closed and had to find another hotel. I contacted the hotel through expedia and through their website twice in the week running up to my stay. The Guest House did not respond I arrived to find Hall Bank Guest House locked up and closed. I had to find emergency accomodation for the night. I suggest that potential holidaymakers think very carefully before risking booking Hall Bank Guest House"
