" Quick getaway to Taormina. The property is lovely, well situated to the sites of the old city. Everywhere was walkable, restaurants, shops, and views of the region. "The host was very friendly, easy communication in English. Helpful in suggesting local transportation options, activities. Excellent breakfast every morning was a great start to our day. Outside area provided opportunity to dry our towels and extended the area for it not being just a room. The best was the common area ( patio with sliding doors and cool seating) with a full size fridge available to use. We were told the house was 120 years old - it has such a unique feel, everything spotless...

"This b b was located directly off corso umberto with quick access to all that taormina offers. The breakfast was full and delicious. They do a turn down service daily so if theres something you dont want disturbed i suggest you put it in your luggage."

"After a 12 hour trip from Stromboli due to rough seas we were worried we would not be able to check in as we would not attive till gone midnight. On contacting Lorenzo he said this was not a problem. On arrival everything was perfect with even a bottle of fizz waiting for us, a very nice touch. The room was very clean and comfortable and serviced daily to a very high standard. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. A lovely stay would very much recommend. "

"B&B about 1/4 up Mount Etna. The draw for me was the location; about a half hr by car to the north side peak access (Piano Provenzana). Quiet, secluded, location with gated parking. They have a good system to give you anytime access without needing coordination (remote for gate) once checked in. Very generous, substantial breakfast (cold cuts, cooked egg, toast -- not just a single Cornetto as many other places). Decor is spartan but functional. Some things are a little dated but it is a house...

"We have just spent the most wonderful holiday in this villa. The owners certainly understand what it means to be a host. Communication before, during and after our stay was perfect: complete but not overly intrusive. The home was clean and elegant. The layout of 4 separate bedrooms and bathrooms gives each room privacy, while the common living areas are conducive to socialising with friends or family. This will forever be remembered by us as a place of joy, beauty and comfort."

"We loved our stay at Villa Etna Mare. The setting is amazing with the most wonderful views of Mount Etna and the coast. The villa is very well equipped with a great outdoor cooking area. The drive up to the villa is quite a drive! but the instructions from Michael meant that you knew exactly where you were and therefore didn't miss any turnings! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. Michael, the host,was very helpful with any questions we had too about the local area."

"This property is ideal for a quiet break. the gardens and views are really remarkable. The area is so quiet. Its probably not so great with children as there are 200 steps to town or same to beach otherwise its taxis which cost a bit. Breakfast was great for the view, pehaps a little pricey for the content. "The Nautilus is wonderful. The staff is super friendly and efficient without being overwhelming and the facility is possibly the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. Location is on the water and I suggest a beach view as our room was not. It was super quiet which is nice. Breakfast is awesome and the selection is huge though gluten intolerance is not well addressed. You are close to many great restaurants which is another plus. "

Great location

"Great view. It was possible to park in the big public parking garage and walk up the stairs in the back of the garage up to the hotel (if you are in shape, otherwise take the free bus). We found this useful. Also everything you want to see and do in Taormina is easy to walk to from this location."

Villa Belvedere Review

"I upgraded to one of the studios which was a new experience for me but I enjoyed the view, the privacy, and having access to a kitchenette where I could keep snacks and whatnot. Maybe because they were refurbishing, but I was disappointed that there wasn’t a restaurant or bar on site to get a quick breakfast. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating."
