"This is the most run down expensive unit we have ever had. No contact with owner. Email was it. No toilet paper emailed then she left 2 rolls on door knob outside. we just bought some. No light switch working in stair cases, filthy shower, dirty floors, dirty sink, just a place needing attention. sheets and towels only clean items."

"During 8 weeks touring Italy as a family of 4 (2 children), this was our favourite accommodation by far. Very clean second story flat with more than enough room for us. The place has lots of character and was fully equipped with everything we needed for a lengthy stay. Lots of beach toys and furniture included. Minutes walk to the beach and great shops all within the historic centre. Great value. Great communication from the host as well. "

"We had a lovely stay at this apartment and found everything we needed. It is beautifully located near the Rocca which made it very convenient when I decided to hike the trail. It is also very close to the center and ocean. It was clean and well lit and had a lot of good closet space for storing clothes. It might be noted that there is one large bedroom with a large bed and a twin bed and the other bed is a sofa bed in the kitchen living room area. Our hosts were lovely and live on the property...

"This is a three bedroom apartment in a small well maintained complex. We stay in Cefalu each time we come to Sicily. The apartment is clean, spacious and in a safe location. Parking is onsite but you can walk into town with ease. Will consider staying here next time we visit. "

"My wife and I had a good experience at this property. Fantastic views of Cefalu. Location is a bit tough because we hired a taxi to take us to dinner. Each way was 15 euros. But overall its a trade off between being in town or having the views. T.V. didn't work. Great communication with host. Overall good experience. "

"Shabby by the sea was the description used to describe this flat and it was a perfect description really. The outside of the apartments needed a good lick of paint though general upgrade work did seem to have started but the gardens, pool and general area were very well maintained and clean and tidy. "The best part of this rental is the location. It’s one of 8 houses (4 on each side of the street). The beach is on one side houses and a private pool on the other. You can sit on the outside porch and see the sea. There is easy parking. And there was a train very close as well. There is a close Conad grocery. A man comes every day (about 11:15) with fresh bread and pastries that he sells out of a white van. The owners of all the houses live below. The top part of all the houses are renters....

This beautiful property had everything we needed; gorgeous views, multiple eating areas, lovely pool, fruit trees, lovely bedrooms, table tennis area, BBQ and even a pizza oven. "Our host was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips on the local region and keeping the attractive outside area clean. The patio and pool area looks across a mountain view, changing in the light from dawn to dusk. The apartment provided everything we needed including indoor and outdoor cooking facilities. Castelbuono is well served for bars, restaurants and points of interest. It sits in the Madonie nature reserve so is good for walking and wildlife ."

"First thing to say is you'll probably need a car as it's about a 40 minute walk to Castelbuono - and coming back is quite steep walking. The upside of that is you are in a very tranquil location. It's idlyllic.
