Nice cantina in local village and other restaurants 20 min drive away. Key tourist sites in the east of the island are 1-2 hrs away. You will return home very rested. "The accommodation is as described, with an amazing pool and large outside seating area. Salvo was always available for any guidance (local restaurants, places to visit) and support (transfer from/to airport and transport for visiting attractions). We all (4 adults) enjoyed the villa and the opportunity to use it as a base to visit Brucoli, Etna, Syracuse, Noto and Taormina. "Unfortunately our trip didn't go as planned as our son was ill but Isabella and Corrado were so kind and did everything possible to help. They are lovely people and wonderful hosts. The villa itself is lovely, especially the outside area, and the surroundings are stunning. You definitely need a car but the isolation means peace and quiet and great views. Unfortunately we didn't get to explore the area so hopefully we can return one day."

The house is in a peaceful, secluded location, overlooking countryside to the coast, and (unlike many listings) the pool really is as big as it looks in the photos, and well maintained. "Overall a lovely property. The pool is fantastic and great to come back to in the hot afternoons. There is a lovely outside area too where we spent most of our time. We moved the table to catch the evening breeze down the side of the house. Communication was easy and the owner came to meet us to drive to the property which was a bit out of the way.
