"Everything about our stay was perfect, the Villa is even more beautiful in person and you cannot beat the sunsets. From the moment we opened the door we were all in awe at how beautiful and clean the place was. Yesenia, comes daily and make sure that we have everything we need and she leaves the place sparkling clean. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend Sunset Villa. "This is the second time we have stayed at Casa Velas and it was our seventh time to Palm Beach Estates on Playa Grande. This newly renovated house/compound is our favorite. It’s right on the beach, has plenty of shade and seating for everyone, and an exceptional, sparkling pool that is large enough to float and play in. The bedrooms are air conditioned and there is a bathroom attached to each of the five bedrooms. No sharing of bathrooms is amazing!We had meals prepared for us every morning and...

"Lovely little unit that was perfect for us. We really enjoyed the terrace, but as others have mentioned, a shade umbrella would have really added to our enjoyment. Everything with condo was great. There is no parking at the condo, but the shuttles to the parking lot come by every few minutes. Really appreciated that the shower had a safety bar! Everything very clean and nice. Bed was comfy. Definitely recommend. "

"Villa Mila was a fantastic place to host Christmas with our grown kids! It provided the perfect place to hang out together and explore the beautiful Guanacaste area! The condo is very beautiful, with magnificent views and SO clean (thank you to wonderful housekeepers!). Hazel, the concierge, was very helpful. We especially love the beach club. One note: the beach club just raised their daily per person rates (Yowza...SO expensive for the holidays!). Just a perfect holiday!"

"We had an amazing stay at this VRBO property! The location was fantastic with a private beach that was perfect for walking and swimming. There were plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining out convenient. We would suggest renting golf carts. The best part was that everyone in our group wanted to stay longer, which is always a sign of a great trip. We hope to visit again in the future. "

"Nice Villa, close to pool, has everything you need for a great vacation. We wore shoes in the villa as the floors were dirty. Complex is very hilly and this villa sits up higher away from the beach with Great sunset views! There are shuttles to take you to the beach area. We did have visits from local cats, raccoons and a baby skunk."

"We stayed here for 9 nights and absolutely loved it. It was very quiet and very clean. It was situated on the outskirt of town so it backs onto the jungle. The pool was a perfect size. The rooftop patio was nice to relax on with very comfortable furniture. They also had beach chairs that we could use which was very handy. Would love to stay here again. "

"This is was the perfect house for our 10 person getaway. The property manager was so helpful and responded right away with any questions we had. The facilities are clean and well taken care of. The view is spectacular. The pool is gorgeous. Walking into town was easy. The hike back up is more challenging, but also doable. Always an option to get in your rental car and drive down if you can't hike back up. I would stay here again!!"

"We loved this property location. It is VERY safe and convenient for a relaxing vacation. We traveled with another couple, who booked a different room on the property and had included the beach club ($30/person) and daily maid service, for the same price. We did not realize that was an option when booking so would suggest reaching out about that. "

"Overall a great stay. Excellent location with all amenities super close by. Easy parking included and a nice pool area. Rooms were very quiet with a very safe feel. There are no amenities with the room, but if you are looking for a room and quiet pool area it is perfect. I liked being off of the main beach yet close to it. Would recommend if you are not looking for a full service resort. We would stay again! "

Great food and facilities; restaurants unavailable

"Firstly the staff are impeccable. They will try their best to accommodate you and are constantly working to keep the facilities in great shape. The only issue I had was with the restaurant bookings. You expect to at least try all the restaurants they have on site, but they give you an app that shows no time slots available for next 3 days. Apparently there is some Star pass which gives people access to these reservations so people like us who booked through hotels.com are out of luck. "
