"I am cautious of staying in pubs because of the risk of noise, but there was no problem with this one. The room was clean well maintained, there are fast food outlets nearby Blantyre station is a 10 min walk and it was reasonably priced. I don't know if the pub does food as I didn't use it, there is no breakfast, but as I was away before 08.00 it didn't matter to me. Would use again"

The decor etc. is quite dated and a little tired in places, but comfortable and generally clean, and the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. A great breakfast with good quality ingredients. Some attention to detail with cleaning would be helpful - eg some mould in shower, and bathroom fan grill quite grimy, the odd cobweb, and some accumulated dust in nooks and crannies. "We stayed here for one night as we were stopping in Edinburgh on our way up to the highlands. The room was excellent and to a very high standard. Breakfast was fantastic and freshly made at a time of our choice, which was a unique but pleasant touch. Thank you for a great start to our holiday.
