"This historic hotel has been renovated, keeping the original floor tiles in the restaurant, mezzanine, and entry lobby. The guest bedrooms and bathrooms are large, making the lodging very comfortable. The staff is cheerful, helpful and efficient. Rooms are vacuumed, linens changed, and bathroom floors mopped—every day of your stay. Exceptionally clean. The food is excellent, particularly the dinner menus, highlighting fish, shellfish from Atlantic, pacific and gulf, as well as regional specialties. If you are visiting for business-the key banks and government agencies are in this area. If you are a tourist interested in the museums, theaters and churches, this is an excellent location to lodge."

"Wonderful hotel. Located within walking distance of the heart of San José and near a lot of transit options - including the bus to/from the airport. The hotel itself was extremely clean and has great WiFi. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommend - a great value!"

Everyone we met was extremely polite and kind, which we appreciated after a very long 2 days travelling. thank you! Sadly quite a bit of the hotel was being renovated so we weren’t able to access it but the parts we saw very very nice."
