"It was a comfortable stay, even under the threat of typhoon. We didn't get to adventure a whole lot because of the weather. There are gym, sauna, pool, and beach to entertain you. Speaking of beach, I think they should spend more efforts to rake the beach on a daily basis. Maybe invest in getting a surf rake tractor for beach cleaning. It's a shame there're not a comfortable spot to sit/lay down and relax. The guard stand in the front is an eye sore. They should keep it a little neater. ...

"We love our stay at this place! It’s right in the heart of Jiufen. Living here for days gave us an authentic taste of what it is like to live in the Taiwanese mountains. The second floor view is absolutely spectacular. Top of the mountain unobstructed view where we can see the harbors and northern ocean. Loving waking up to see this view everyday! The place is also clean and quiet. Location is excellent, go up the stairs you are immediately in the Jiufen old street where all the actions are....

"Reserved a room with window and ocean view and was given one without window upon Check-in. Paid very little money to upgrade so that was ok. However, hot water didn’t work in the bathroom. Manager offered to dry our wet shoes so that was a very kind gesture. Breakfast was amazing and manager was friendly. Big incident here: Upon checkout, we were given our shoes back completely destroyed (burned) and no apologies were offered. We were forced to go buy new shoes."
