"Consider this more of a rustic camping-like experience. Cabins have screens, but bugs still come in. Incredible location! Spider monkeys were swinging above our cabin every morning, holwers start up at day break, and capuchins befriended us at the beach. Scarlett macawas everywhere, we saw them constantly, as well as toucans. The beach immediately out front is wavy and rough, but my kids still jumped in the waves daily. The highlight is San Josecito beach, a 17 minute walk along the ocean. It is a calmer bay with a reef and plenty of fish. We swam with a 4-5 foot sea turtle for half an hour. This place was deserted until noon every day. Food was excellent, fresh and traditional. They make fresh fruit juices daily! Staff are very lovely and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. It was a very memorable part of our trip and we felt fully immersed in the jungle at ocean forest."

"Basic hotel so not for the luxury travelers but bed was comfy and shower good. Has a patio where I could sit and watch birds in the trees. Owner very friendly- made me breakfast every day and provided rides to and from ferry and airport for a small extra fee. Great base for doing Corcovado activities "

"We loved our stay in Drake’s Bay - Debra’s home is very comfortable and has everything you need for a fantastic stay. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bedrooms have lots of storage room and the AC works very well in each room. We loved sitting outside with the fabulous view over the bay, especially at sunset. The house is perfectly located for day tours to Corcovado, only minutes walk to the boat pick up and drop off. Also there are many great restaurants nearby in walking distance, Kalaluna Bistro was one of our favourites! Jose was a great help and there for when we had any questions. The house was exceptionally clean and peaceful. Would recommend staying here for anyone looking to explore Drake’s Bay and Corcovado. Thank you Debra for everything! "

"The staff was very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. They made using the boats to and from Sierpe quite easy as they answered all questions via whatsapp before we even arrived! We had breakfast and dinner at the restaraunt. Both meals were great! Overall had a great time. The ocean view was definitely a must!"
