"Hi This place is great lots of birds at tree level and the his and hers showers are a nice touch. It's quite a walk up to some of the rooms so bear that in mind. The hotel restaurant is good and is also close to another new restaurant on the beach. The breakfast was great and the hosts were good. One the nicer places in drake bay but also slightly expensive, I will also mention the mosquito grills on the vents did let small flies in but I was at the start of the rainy season too. All great though thank you "

"Great Hotel 5 min by car or 10 min walking outside of Drake bay. Excellent staff. We had a great experience, highly recommend their snorkelling your. They leave before everyone else so you are first to the hotspots before all the big guiding boats come. I would also suggest calling the hotel and having them set up your transport and all the activities you would like to do as it doesn't cost more and they know all the insured and well run operations in town. If we had done that it would have made things much easier for us. They also have full board or pay as you go for lunch and dinner. Meals were very good."

"We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Margarita. We had them (Alberto) book our tours and found that if you pay cash (dollars or colones) you save some money on your tours. We did the snorkeling (well worth the money!) - 4 different snorkeling stops, an island stop and a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant. Corcovado Park tour - make sure and take shoes to get wet getting in and out of the boat, as well as shoes to wear while touring the park (they provide a lunch at the part and you are not allowed to wear your hiking shoes in the facility). And the surprise wonderful tour that we took was horseback riding! The horses turned into a river and actually walked in and out of the river - your feet get wet often (very nice as it cools you down), you then hike a little bit to a wonderful waterfall - wear your suit! You get to swim and it is SO refreshing! As far as the hotel, we loved the pool, room, and the location! Our room had a great deck and so many beautiful birds were constantly out there on the nearby trees - download the app Merlin - it will identify birds by their call. The hotel is a short walk to the boat pickup for tours, etc. and just around the corner from the row of awesome restaurants in Drake Bay. We ate at a different place every meal and loved all of them! Overall, we loved everything about our stay at Hotel Margarita!"

"Well Worth the money. Sophisticated luxury, where the staff get to know you. Only 4 families there when we stayed- so peaceful. Food fantastic - cater for all. Diving trip, Corcovado national park and massages all fantastic. One of my top three places I have ever stayed"

"My family is so glad that we chose this property for our three-night stay in Bahía Drake! The house was spotlessly clean and included everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and there were more than enough outlets for charging all of our devices. The Wi-Fi worked well, when we needed it. The outside space is beautiful and comfortable and the view of Drake Bay is absolutely stunning! Getting to Drake Bay wasn’t easy, but once we arrived, we discovered that Binya House was in the perfect location with easy access to everything in town (including the beach from which many of the Corcovado tour boats launch). Things to note:- The host, Debra, and the onsite property manager, José, are incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive.- The home includes gated off-street parking, which is a huge plus given Drake’s narrow streets.- The A/C units are located in both bedrooms. There is a twin bed in the common room (no A/C), but we were easily able to fit it in a bedroom so that we could all sleep with A/C.- Although the listing mentions washer/dryer and they are included in photos of the property, they are no longer available for guest use. However, there is a laundromat right across the street and the caretaker also offered to help us with our laundry.- During our stay, the power to the whole town went out for a couple of hours. The hosts couldn’t control that, but they quickly provided candles and insights to help us stay comfortable.100% recommend!"

"Consider this more of a rustic camping-like experience. Cabins have screens, but bugs still come in. Incredible location! Spider monkeys were swinging above our cabin every morning, holwers start up at day break, and capuchins befriended us at the beach. Scarlett macawas everywhere, we saw them constantly, as well as toucans. The beach immediately out front is wavy and rough, but my kids still jumped in the waves daily. The highlight is San Josecito beach, a 17 minute walk along the ocean. It is a calmer bay with a reef and plenty of fish. We swam with a 4-5 foot sea turtle for half an hour. This place was deserted until noon every day. Food was excellent, fresh and traditional. They make fresh fruit juices daily! Staff are very lovely and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. It was a very memorable part of our trip and we felt fully immersed in the jungle at ocean forest."

"Basic hotel so not for the luxury travelers but bed was comfy and shower good. Has a patio where I could sit and watch birds in the trees. Owner very friendly- made me breakfast every day and provided rides to and from ferry and airport for a small extra fee. Great base for doing Corcovado activities "
