The grounds of this property is truly a gardener’s paradise with *labeled* endemic Madeiran species as well as exotics, including massive rhododendrons. "Casa Rosa is owned by truly kind and helpful people. The apartment is very clean and atmospheric, the garden is nice. There is a road just above the house, so you hear cars and the bus passing by, although it is generally a calm road. It was mostly raining during the time I stayed and when home-bound for a most of the day, the apartment may be less suitable, as it is relatively dark and seating is very basic."
