Especially because I was getting in close to midnight....& I do not speak Spanish....& w/o a phone that works in Ecuador! It became obvious the hotel did not order me one. I was left to fend for myself in a foreign County not speaking the language.....& found out the hotel was not 1/2 hr. away as told by (Expedian?) but one hour away. A taxi driver called the hotel & they sd yes it is ok to let him...

"It was a pretty good stay. Quito is going through some power outages (due to the drought), so we had power off a lot of the time we were there at the property. But that's not necessarily the owner's fault -- everyone in Quito is getting their energy cut right now. Overall, it was a good deal, located up in a relatively safe area (in the financial district). I'm not sure I'll ever be in Quito again, but I'd definitely consider staying here again if I did. ~Jon"
