"Dependance Desiree is a gem of a holiday rental sitting in the middle of a small cluster of houses on the hillside. The marble statues in the garden and the hot-tub next to the fabulous pool give this small holiday house a sense of grandeur. The outdoor covered dining area and BBQ provided welcome shade for outdoor living from morning to night. The owner, who lives with his family on the plot, and the property manager, Saba, welcomed us on arrival. Saba was extremely helpful and provided lots of local information and details of places to visit and kept in touch by WhatsApp. (Simon & Sue, September 2024)"

"If you're looking for a quiet, serene location close to the sea then this is the place for you. The description and photos of the unit were quite spot on and most importantly, it was as clean as the photos show. Franco was a very attentive host...answered so many questions from the time we booked until the time we left and accommodated all of our needs. Though he lives upstairs with his family, we hardly saw anyone so we felt a great sense of privacy which was much appreciated. Alcamo marina is a quiet little area and easy access to the beach is key. We did a lot of exploring and there are only so many crossovers, whether a bridge or a tunnel, to navigate over or under railroad tracks that are located between the main street and the beach. This location was perfect, as a bridge crossover was a block away. The 4 minute walk to the beach is accurate as well which made it quite convenient to come and go from the beach as we pleased. The only negative, if you want to call it a negative, is that though the unit technically accommodates 7 guests, I would not have wanted to have any more than maybe 4 adults total in this unit with one bathroom. We were 2 people. The larger bedroom was a very nice size, but the two bedrooms with the twin beds are on the smaller side so I think more than 4 people would have made it feel quite cramped. Also, you definitely need to rent a car to get around. Overall a wonderful stay...would definitely stay here again! Grazie Franco!!"

"I agree with all the positive reviews about this property, it is exactly as stated in the description and the pictures accurately reflect the villa. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth and everything was absolutely spotlessly clean. We very much appreciated some of the little things left to help get us started (like a bottle of wine, plenty of chilled water, ice cubes and some lovely local pastries). You genuinely get a sea view and the lovely sandy beach is only a few minutes walk away. Fabrizio is always extremely responsive to any enquiries, replying in less than a few minutes. He organised a couple of trips for us which were absolutely fantastic. The infinity pool was amazing and a lovely temperature (29 C). I would thoroughly recommend this property and would love to return in the future."

"We had a lovely time at this property and had no issues. We were a party of 6 adults but had 2 extra people for the first 2 days so the extra beds came in handy. The bedrooms were large and well equipped with effective air conditioning. The kitchen was compact but had everything we needed and was supplemented by the outdoor cooking area and washing machine. The outdoor space was great, especially the roof balcony which had extensive views and was our favourite place to spend time watching the sunset. The pool was larger than expected and pleasantly warm. Although in a residential area it was peaceful at night and we did not experience any issues with noise. The nearest beach is a 5 minute drive away and is potentially walkable although there is a steep hill on the way back. There are also a number of good local restaurants. We found that it was a good base for travel to Palermo, Trapani, Erice, Marsala, Castellamare del Golfo and Scopello. Vito the host was lovely. He left a large spread of fruit, wine and beer on our arrival and delicious Cannolli on the eve of our departure. He also came in to clean the pool during our stay but was never intrusive."

"The apartment was adequately equipped for our needs. We loved the views from the balcony and the short walk to an incredible beach. We stayed a week and had a wonderful time exploring the nearby area."
