"The location is outstanding and the restaurant is superb. The property is gorgeous. There was not enough space to hang damp towels or damp swimsuits and stingersuits, but we were given fresh towels whenever we requested them. There were two screws sticking out of the bathroom wall that looked like they may have held up a towel rack. "

"Hotel is near to the airport only 5 minutes by taxi. Taxi's at Cairns airport are difficult to find so pre book. Hotel is close to all touristy places and esplanade. Check in was very easy with front desk informing me of various options and facilities of the hotel. Hotel has a lush garden in the middle with a stream running through it. Building appears to be old but rooms are modern. Breakfast is amazing with pancakes, soups , regular items plus array of fruits with a very lovely young hostess taking out time to have chat with us making us feel comfortable . Hotel pool under renovation but can use the other property pool. It is not very close though. The day we wanted to go was also raining so we gave up the idea instead there is an infinity pool on the esplanade which is fun with great BBQ areas. City is surrounded by mountains so the views are very good. Travel desk lady very nice and informative. "
