The location is a 10 minute walk from Half Moon Bay, and it is a bit hilly - which can be a struggle with a stroller or someone with mobility issues. "The listing was as stated 100%. Wonderful kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you could ever need. It was super clean. There was a new property being built across the street so there was a little bit of noise but nothing too bad and it didn’t even bother us one bit. The location was perfect for being out of the way of traffic and the tourism hustle while being perfectly located close to West Bay Beach and only a 5-10 minute drive to West End. I would recommend a car rental if you like...

"Although a little rough to get to, it's more than well worth the effort. The space is beautifully appointed, comfortable, and has a staff that are attentive and ready to help worth anything. The private beach means that you have plenty of seating options to choose from. Sit back and watch the egrets fishing or take the kayaks or paddleboards out. "The property is amazing! Steps from the ocean, restaurant and pool. If you wanted, you could want through Grand Roatan to get to West Bay, but we found it too hot so we took taxis. Cost a little more but worth not overheating. It would have been great to have a car, but we made do with the taxis. The rooftop pool got a bit green within a few days, so that was a bummer but I don't know how you can maintain those things in all the sun. Overall very wonderful!"

"We stayed in this property for 5 nights. The check-in/out process was seamless. The property was amazingly clean. the location is an easy walk to West End restaurants & shops. We cooked many meals in the house and it had all the kitchen appliances needed. They could use an upgraded coffee pot - that would be my only suggestion. In the middle of West End with easy walking access to restaurants, clubs, shops and tours but still an oasis offering great view and (mostly*) quiet down time when desired. "Nancy and Phil are wonderful hosts and it was a pleasure waking up to the view of the Caribe point bay and watching the sunset. The pool was unexpectedly warm and refreshing as it's a salt water pool. It's a great place to relax watching Nancy's flowers grow and Edgar the chameleon coming to visit (and eat food out of Phil's hand). My wife and I would enjoy staying there again."

"Our large family group enjoyed our stay at Palmetto Bay. As native Hondurans, the property was reminiscent of the natural flora and flauna that has been removed from more popular parts of the islands. The more natural feel was accompanied by an increased wildlife presence which has its pros and cons. Management was very responsive and the restaurant food was really good. "I could see this as a perfect place for a larger family vacation. Several condos in close proximity with one another with easy beach access. For a solo couple, it was still remarkable! We mostly had the place to ourselves but there was a an employee on the property to address any needs we had. We took the kayaks out every morning to a great swimming spot just a few strokes away.
