"The food was great, especially the international and the Latin restaurant! The breakfast buffet was the best! The staff were also very friendly and attentive! Mattie, the sweet cook that made our eggs every morning was just amazing! She was always smiling and happy to be cooking for us. Francis that greeted us during the breakfast buffet was also fantastic! So cheerful and very welcoming! We did not stay on the premiere side so our room was dated but we still had a great time at the resort! If you want to upgrade and have a better room then pay extra to stay on the premiere side. We do not stay in our room long enough to really care about that! The beach is not for swimming but we went on an excursion to Isla Tortuga for the best beach experience! A must tour! The resort has many pool games and activities but just know that it is mainly in Spanish. We wish it was more in English but we still had fun participating in some of the activities! Overall, we had such an amazing vacation there and highly recommend it! "

"A nice location by the beach. The rooms are behind a restaurant, keeping it quieter. The accommodations are older with rooms that show some wear, but that’s a minor cosmetic concern. it’s a fine place to stay!"

"We were surprised at our room - this is a place we could live in. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and the tidal slough, it's quiet, it has a nice kitchen, and is laid out well. The restaurant was nice and the staff friendly. We had 2 pools to choose from, and took advantage of them every day. The grounds were very pretty and well-maintained. It was easy to get in and out and conventient to stores and sights in Puntarenas."

"This place is perfect getaway. If you need to get off the grid (although, you still have excellent internet reception) for a bit, fly into San Jose, rent a car, take a ferry and stay at this beautiful little gem. When you get there, you'll be greeted by Thomas, a great host and an even better man. Anything you need, Thomas either has it, or knows how to get it. Carlos, aka Charlie is around for assistance also, if needed. We stayed here for 7 nights, and loved every second. Our villa had a full kitchen, A/C if needed, nice sized private patio and a huge shower. So if you've packed on a few pounds, no worries....you and the significant other can still play in the shower together. We had fun. We'll definitely be back. P.S. be nice to the two Coati's who visit frequently, Wanchu and Pitchu."
