"Our group has an annual Fall outing that usually puts us in Southern MO or Northern Arkansas. We elected to stay much closer to the KC metro and found the One of a Kind Lodge. The house is beautiful and built with high end materials and finishes. The view to the East is spectacular. Plan on taking walks, fishing, cooking and sitting in rocking chairs. We had a very relaxing long weekend."

"Owners go out of the way to be helpful. The house is beautiful, the deer love it there , so fun to see. Had an awesome weekend just being away. Harrisonville has antiques and coffee shops."

"Beautiful setting on Appleton City Lake. Cottages are right on the lake and it was fun to wake up to the mist rising from the lake, rooster crowing in the distance. Later enjoy sitting in the sunshine and watching the ducks and sparrows on the lake, also heard some cows mooing. Just enjoy the fresh country air! Rustic Duck restaurant was very accommodating too. "

"Great location for what we needed in Harrisonville. Very relaxing and clean. Kids said super cozy and slept in late every day. If you’re gonna do cooking make sure to bring any spices you’d need and there is no microwave. We do plan to come back and stay here before the end of the year. Owner was great. "
