"First thing we realised when we turned up was that you are not staying on a farm but in a characterful old farmhouse. You have to park on the road outside but it is off the main road and is very quiet. Jan, is a wonderful host, welcoming, friendly, and a really good cook. The breakfasts and the one evening meal we had were excellent - and better than the ones we had in the upmarket hotel we stayed in afterwards. If you like good food then consider staying here. The dining room is nice to eat...

"Loved our stay, great location. Our room was compact, but well appointed and clean. Only minor gripe being a very small shower. Absolute highlight was our host Roxana. "We had a lovely few days at Dale House. Dominique is a wonderful host and a skilful chef. We had a memorable dinner one evening and our cooked breakfast each morning was a highlight. Dominique was also very accommodating with our dog which made all the difference. Dale House is located in a very quiet spot within the moors so if you appreciate the peacefulness this place is for you. "

"We loved our stay at The Old Post Office. Ideal for our family get-together. The beds are really comfortable, lots of spaces to hang out in the house, the area is magic- roll out of the front door and you are by the river or can go on glorious riverside walks from the front door. The Aga was lovely and warm and the property was well equipped, we had everything we needed. For us the photos didn't do it justice, The Old Post Office was comfortable, characterful and very spacious."
