"The furnishings are worn. The second bedroom is only suitable for small children. The house is only a few metres from a busy main road with noisy traffic. The beach is unattractive. The water is too shallow for swimming. And the house is NOT in the “historic centre” of Portobelo, which is several kilometres away and consists of the ruins of a fort and a church. We were so disappointed we left after one night."

"I have stayed/rented different villas at Tucan and this is by far the best so far. Tucan is a great place to stay. It is peaceful and very secure. Transportation is highly recommended as it is a little ways from the city (about half an hour drive to as much as 2 hours with traffic). Some food delivery services may charge extra for delivery here because of distance. Effran was a wonderful host . He literally felt like a best friend as he was very intuitive, engaging and offered many solutions...
