If you are exploring Shenandoah National Park, this cabin is SO close. There is a shortcut to Hwy 211 via a gravel access road (Jewell Hollow Access Road) that saves a lot of time in getting to the park. You will find it on Google Maps. "This was the perfect romantic getaway. Communication with the property was so easy and fast, I asked about a couple details including the type of coffee maker (keurig duo) and they responded within minutes. We did have issues hooking up to the TV but it wasn't a top priority so didn't impact our stay. Cabins 9 and 10 are the first two you see when you drive in, so I can see how other cabins might be more ideal but we didn't have any issues with privacy even with tenants in the neighboring...

Hiking and the national park were a reasonable drive. The town of Elkton was great with small shops and restaurants as well as anything needed like groceries. James was an excellent host. "We were attending a wedding nearby and wanted a quiet, relaxing place to stay. Farmview cottage was perfect! The cottage was well maintained and had everything we needed for a short stay. We wished we could've explored the Zen Barn but it was occupied by a group. Some of the cats on the property gave us a tour of the other neat spots like the boat with the sitting area on top and the sauna. All in all, a great experience!"

"The view from our cabin was gorgeous. We were in close proximity to Shenandoah National Park which was the purpose of our stay. Their rules are quite strict but we knew that going in. There are no toiletries provided which they also mention in the welcome letter but it would be a nice touch to include a bar of soap at least."

Clean, everything was nice, the pictures did not do it justice, gorgeous views, everything in working order, great communication from the host. "This was a perfect place to get away and completely power down. No internet, no cellphone, no TV. The property was cozy, clean, very well insulated and comfortable. We sent in the middle of winter. There was a really nice wood burning fireplace. The house overlooks a small pond. It was beautiful. It was less than a 2 hour drive from DC so very geographically desirable. Can't wait to go back."
