"We had 3 couples staying for a trip to the area to dine at 3 Blacksmiths. The house was HUGE and fully stocked with everything you could need. The caretakers answered all of our questions and were very helpful during our stay. We enjoyed the ping pong table, fire pits and hot tub. We are already discussing booking another trip with our kids!"

"Our stay at the Secluded Zen River Retreat was simply magical! Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this peaceful escape provided breathtaking views, soothing river sounds, and an abundance of nature. We loved exploring the walking trails, relaxing by the river, and unwinding on the large deck. The open dining area and cozy wood stove made it feel like home. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone seeking tranquility. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!"

"Cozy, comfortable and well equipped. The host was super responsive and very helpful with suggestions for places to eat and things to do in the area. Scenic and rural location, yet convenient to grocery store, restaurants, etc. We would stay again!"

"Our 14-member family stayed on the entire property (farmhouse, cabin and cottage) and had a wonderful time. This cottage is small and cozy and has beautiful views of green pastures. 2 fox kits came out to frolic in front of the cottage each morning, their den must be nearby. This cabin is perfect for a lone traveler or a couple."

"I gave 4 stars on cleanliness due to hallway floors being very dirty. No white socks remained. Communications were horrible due to phone being very static filled. Master bedroom lamp was broken. Exchanged it with one from another bedroom. TV remote controls need new batteries. Otherwise, very nice place."

"Lovely home and perfect for our family. Great communication with the owner. Our only disappointment was the fireplace was not working and David tried to get someone out to fix it but it was a Saturday and no one was available. We appreciated that he tried! Loved that it was dog friendly!! "

Plain On The Outside, but beautiful surroundings.

"SPACIOUS AND COZY There were 2 king size beds, 4 sets of bunk beds, and a very comfy extra large couch. LOCATION Beautiful area. Lots of horse and cows within eye sight of the house. Incredible starlight night sky. Check-in went smooth, kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and the place was clean. Lots of small touches that the host put into providing an amazing experience for us. "

"We had the pleasure of staying in the cottage the first weekend in October while we were part of the Graves Mountain Apple Festival. The cottage was situated on a lovely property surrounded by trees. Every amenity was well thought out - from toiletry items, plenty of paper products and towels, coffee and tea, even breakfast!! "House was great and as advertised. The hot tub was not really warming up and we did not note any chlorine bob which we typically see at rental houses so we chose not to use. Movie room was fantastic downstairs space for the kids. House was remote enough to have peace and quiet but not too far from towns and activities. There was a lack of forks, spoons, etc for our family of 5, as well as plastic wear for kids so we just bought paper/plastic. Still had a wonderful time."
