"The home was a wonderful place to rest after a cold day of hiking. It was immaculate and cozy! The kitchen had everything you could need and more. We had a small issue with the check in but Anna responded immediately and even drove over to make sure that everything was okay. We would definitely stay here again!"

"I gave 4 stars on cleanliness due to hallway floors being very dirty. No white socks remained. Communications were horrible due to phone being very static filled. Master bedroom lamp was broken. Exchanged it with one from another bedroom. TV remote controls need new batteries. Otherwise, very nice place."

"Overall the place is a nice quiet getaway in the woods. Be prepared for lots of DIY when it comes to the sauna and all other wood burning stove fires. An issue for concern, if you stay in the Shire Suite, the front room is solely heated by the wood burning stove and the ventilation is very limited. VERY smokey throughout our entire stay. Also there’s a tin roof so if it’s raining (it did our whole stay) the noise is REALLY loud making it almost impossible to sleep. Pray for no rain at night....

"Our family group of 10 has come several times in the winter. Beautiful house and location. The great room with huge fireplace and view of the Blue Ridge is perfect for hanging out in the winder, and the big and well-equipped kitchen is excellent for big family dinners.This time, a big winder storm presented some winter challenges, and the host did a great job of making things right. "There is a lot of charm in this property and this room! Note that the heater in the room struggles to keep up with the cold during the colder months. It was 60 degrees when I woke up one morning, and the heater had been running non-stop all night. Unfortunately, I didn't try the sauna, but it looked awesome!"

Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this peaceful escape provided breathtaking views, soothing river sounds, and an abundance of nature. We loved exploring the walking trails, relaxing by the river, and unwinding on the large deck. The open dining area and cozy wood stove made it feel like home. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone seeking tranquility. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!"
