They even called a week ahead to inform us about limited parking to be expected due to boxing match on their premises, so we we sure to arrive earlish. "

"Our weekend at this beautiful home was perfect. The home was immaculate and the finer touches made this stay extra special. Everybody had their own dressing gown and slippers, all appliances that you could need was there. When I asked the owners Brian and Sara a question, within minutes I had my answer. We had the most fun time and I would recommend this home to families because the children’s activities in the garden was brilliant but even as a group of adults it’s still just as amazing. You won’t be disappointed if you booked this home for a break. Thank you for sharing your home. "

"The pictures don’t do this place justice. The complex has some great buildings. The barn is a great hangout space with some fab amenities.Some of the sofa beds are a bit tired (cottages) and lighting to and around the hot tub would work really well."

"We stayed in the barn at the end of the driveway. It has its own private patio and use of the grounds and pool. The barn itself was clean and well equipped with views across the countryside. The check-in was non-contact which is perfect for me as I'm clinically vulnerable. The welcome box was a nice touch. A perfect, peaceful place to relax while visiting family in the area. "

"We spent a week at Penn Court Estate, it was the perfect get away for our family holiday this year. The cottages are lovely and well equipped, comfy beds, good living spaces and plenty of bathrooms. The estate is very secure, quite and pretty, the children in our group had a wonderful time running through the trees and playing in the very clean pool. It was great, the pool opening times 10am-5:30pm really helped us manage the children’s and made for a very relaxing break. We didn’t venture out much as the weather was so good that we spent the week beside the pool and eating in the gardens! Craig was fantastic with communication throughout the booking process and we hope to be back again soon! Thank you"

"Super cute, historic cottage, close to some fantastic sightseeing. Unfortunately, it was freezing cold when we arrived. Even after the owner popped by the following morning and got the radiators going, it was still so very cold. My friend slept in her coat one night. The water was consistently lukewarm or freezing cold. This, coupled with the cold house temp, made it extremely uncomfortable. I finally contacted the owner 3 days in when I realized it didn’t matter who showered first it was always cold, and told him I thought the hot water tank was broken and suggested he get it looked at. He responded saying it was “very strange as previous guests didn’t mention anything.” Then he informed me that he only had the hot water tank set to be on from ten to 7-8 a.m and 3-4 p.m (insert completely shocked face here). This was not disclosed in the VRBO listing, and if it was, I would not have booked. Said he was striking a balance between comfort and environmental sustainability, but 2 hours of hot water tank operation (and clearly not when I needed hot water) per day did not feel balanced to me. It felt cheap, and very much not like a vacation. He then set the hot water tank to run from 5:30 a.m to 4 pm. I still couldn’t wash up dinner dishes, or properly and comfortably wash up before bed. There was also an issue with a significant amount of sand/debris falling from the ceiling in the twin room onto one of the beds. Not sure if it was insects or just old cottage stuff."

"Review Great Higham Barn Our family spent a memorable five days at Great Higham Barn which was the perfect accommodation for our family gathering. Our party consisted of 8 adults and 9 children and my only concern beforehand was that 6 grandchildren would have to share one bedroom. The cousins loved it and after the first night when everyone was far too excited to sleep, with some careful organising of bedtime by age, everyone got some rest. Excited children early in the morning was slightly more problematical but it worked well for us. The barn is spacious with plenty of room for everyone, comfortably furnished, clean and amazingly well equipped. There are masses of glasses, plates (all sizes), cutlery and every cooking aid you could wish for. The main problem was finding everything, remembering where it was and then remembering where to put it back. I’m not sure we succeeded there. There are two of every appliance – cooker, microwaves, dishwashers (constantly on the go), three fridges and two freezers, masses of saucepans and serving dishes and a washer and tumble dryer. All bedding is supplied as well as towels both for bathrooms and the swimming pool and hot tub. Downstairs is laid out for mass dining and games on the two dining tables. The main one is huge but the smaller – only seats about 12 - was ideal for breakfast and smaller card games. Upstairs are two main areas joined by a walkway which overlooks the ground floor and there are two seating areas and a huge t"
