Besides the excellent service, it is affordable and well situated, being 10 minutes or so walk from most of the important sights and restaurants. The rail station is also a 15-20min walk away, while a bus stop/interchange is 5 minutes walk away. "Great location and the comfiest of beds! Our room was basic, no tea/coffee or fridge etc but that was fine for us, there was water though. Like others have said, there are areas that are in need of some tidying up but none of it would affect your stay. Breakfast was great, i wasn't expecting much after reading some reviews but it was all fresh and plentiful. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, we were just there for a night so maybe I'd prefer more room facilities if i was to stay longer."

"We have stayed at the Duke’s Academie hotel several times. It is well located for exploring Bruges. Staff are friendly and helpful - we had an issue with a smell in the room (drains) which they looked at straight away. Unfortunately it didn’t quite go away but was bearable. The hotel does an excellent breakfast."
