"Amazing room and hotel. Luxury room with a bathtub in was amazing. Staff friendly and hotel spotless. 5/5 would definitely stay again. One slight criticism but nothing much was the pillows were uncomfortable, could do with firm pillows. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

"We just wanted a comfortable room and it was. Coffee / kettle / mugs all good and nice towels. Didn't expect a lot as we just wanted a room but very happy with it. Nice big car park away from the road was good too."

"Property a bit tired looking however, spotlessly clean and staff where friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with everything we needed although the lighting was rather dim. Small bathroom but adequate and great, powerful shower with constant hot water. Bed large and comfy. Room very quiet and warm. We ate evening meal in the pub, lovely food at reasonable price with varied menu. We also had breakfast, again, lovely food and a good choice. We would stay here again. "

"Good value for money. Not the most up to date decor but staff were friendly, it is in a good location and with a Hungry Horse as part of the hotel well worth the money. Don't expect the Ritz for the cost of the stay."

"A really impressive stay with great service and friendly staff. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was of a very high standard. Couldn’t fault it and close to the airport for an early departure. Highly recommended. "

"The whole of the personnel at THE RISING SUN worked as a team to make our stay [my wife and I] a memorable one from our welcome with a beaming smile on Wedensday just after 2 to our departure today [Friday] just before 10. On our first evening there were two problems with our room - a faulty light and curtains that let the light in BUT BOTH were immediately fixed to everyone's satisfaction - fabulous! "The Litton seemed to befuddle our GPS system but we eventually found it, and were very happy we did. It is nestled on a hill I think in so far as you have to walk down quite a few stairs to enter the bar and registration area, which consists of a laptop sitting on the end of the bar. Very friendly and very pleasant was the gentleman who happily assured us that our three rooms had been successfully registered and he escorted us through the web of stairs and alleys to each of our rooms…and they...

"Lovely real ale country pub with rooms. Very rustic but with all home comforts and little extras. Great view over countryside with cows grazing nearby. Breakfast freshly cooked and generous portions. Used as overnight stay following wedding at Crowcombe court (5 mins walk) but also great for walkers etc exploring the Exmoor area. Highly recommend "
